We are asking for your support as a matter of urgency to get CYULto the table and open discussions on ways to accommodate BA flights needing to land at Montreal-Trudeau during runway construction, September 3rd to December 12th, 2019.
If you are based out of CYUL or if you require access to the airport and FBOs, this issue affects you.
Currently, there is an outright ban on all between the hours of 20z-00z, Monday through Friday during the construction period. Despite our efforts, which to date have included communications with the Chair of Aéroports de Montréal and direct discussions between CBAA and members Skyservice and Innotech-Execaire and the operations staff at CYUL, our concerns – and our Nav Canada accepted solution – have been ignored.
We need your direct intervention to ensure this issue gets attention and is quickly resolved.
To that end, we are launching anoperator-based letter-writing campaign – something we did with good effect when we faced a similar challenge at CYYZ. We need your support by having you write to the Aéroports de Montréal Chair and CEO directly to share your concerns.
To facilitate your communications with CYUL, we have created a draft template/guidance letter that you can adapt and customize, based on different types of operation:
Please feel free to change or adapt the template in any way – the more customized it is to your unique situation, the more impact it will have.
We ask you to complete your version of the letter on your company letterhead, and send an electronic under the signature of your CEO (or the most senior person available) to the email addresses you will find in the template letter. Please copy me (email@example.com) as well.
We did not translate the templates into French as they will be adapted and changed by participants. While sending the letter to ADM in English is perfectly acceptable, should you wish to send a French version and require translation assistance, please let us know – we can provide support.
Thank you for your attention and support.
