• The federal government is beginning discussions with the aviation industry. The CBAA has recommended ways the government can help:
    • Expedite the use of technologies and processes (e.g., contact tracing, rapid testing) that would accelerate the safe opening of our interprovincial and international borders and responsibly remove the 14-day blanket quarantine requirements.
    • Create federal financial stimulus programs that would encourage the purchase and environmental modernization of business aircraft, materials, services and health and safety equipment.
    • Suspend all federal and carbon taxes on jet fuel and avgas until air travel reaches pre-COVID levels
  • CBAA has reached out to Ontario premier Doug Ford, offering our full support and assistance regarding his call for rapid testing at major Ontario airports to reduce or eliminate quarantine.
  • Alberta YYC Border Testing Pilot Program Open to International Charter and General Aviation Flights.
