Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) Pilot Project

FRMS does not work for commercial (703/704) unscheduled operations. Following the CBAA’s meeting with Transport Canada officials in late January, the association is developing a pilot project that will attempt to find a better way forward. Our intent is to leverage fatigue science, technology and a robust SMS to find an alternate means of compliance.

Stay tuned as we continue working on this pilot project.

The Government of Canada’s Luxury tax = Tax on Jobs

You’ve heard us say it... now the Finance Department itself claims that up to 870 jobs could be lost as a result of the Luxury Tax in a new report dated March 2023. It’s clear that the revenue from the tax is far less than the cost to the individuals and Canadian economy for the lost jobs.

Airport Construction Season has begun!

Your association continues to participate in various working groups with airports across the country. With funding announcements made to the airports as a result of COVID recovery efforts, airports are looking to complete any (and all) shovel ready projects.
